ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY

The successful candidate provides strategic direction and hands-on leadership in the design, development, and delivery of AI and machine learning solutions across internal departments and external partners. This role blends project execution with deep technical fluency in AI/ML to drive complex, cross-functional initiatives that support Accerta’s digital transformation priorities. Acting as a bridge between business objectives and technical implementation, the AI Program Lead guides the full AI solution lifecycle—from identifying AI opportunities and defining architectures, to leading development teams, establishing AI practices, and ensuring scalability, ethical compliance, and business alignment.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Refine business challenges into AI-solvable problems, translate high-level business objectives into concrete AI/ML technical roadmaps, and design robust, scalable, and secure AI solution architectures. This includes selecting appropriate models, platforms, and infrastructure.
  • Lead the technical design, development, and deployment of end-to-end AI/ML pipelines and systems. Provide hands-on technical guidance, code reviews, and mentorship to data scientists and ML engineers, ensuring best practices in model development, AI Ops, and system integration
  • Provide deep technical leadership and oversight across the AI/ML lifecycle, from data acquisition and feature engineering to model training, evaluation, deployment (AI Ops), and monitoring. Stay abreast of cutting-edge AI/ML research, tools, and methodologies, driving continuous innovation and technology adoption.
  • Lead, mentor, and empower a diverse team of data and automation professionals, AI engineers, and software developers, fostering a culture of technical excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning. Facilitate seamless integration with product, engineering, and business teams to ensure AI solutions meet technical and business requirements.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate complex technical risks related to AI model performance, scalability, data governance, and system reliability. Champion ethical AI principles, fairness, transparency, and regulatory compliance throughout the AI solution lifecycle.
  • Serve as a key technical liaison and trusted advisor, effectively communicating complex AI concepts, architectural decisions, and project progress to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including senior leadership.
  • Drive the adoption and maturation of AI Ops best practices to ensure efficient, reliable, and scalable deployment, monitoring, and maintenance of AI models in production. Establish rigorous quality assurance processes and performance metrics for AI systems.
  • Ensure AI solutions adhere to the highest standards of quality, security, data privacy, and ethical AI guidelines. Drive technical process improvements for AI development and deployment.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Post-secondary education in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field
  • Certifications in Agile, Scrum, and/or Project Management (e.g., PMP, PMI-ACP, Certified ScrumMaster)
  • Demonstrated capability in leading AI/ML projects and supporting transformational or organization-wide initiatives
  • Strong technical knowledge of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning concepts, frameworks, and practices
  • Demonstrated experience using Microsoft 365 Copilot, Azure Machine Learning, and Power BI.
  • Data literacy, including understanding of data pipelines, quality, and impact on AI solutions
  • Proven project management skills, including the ability to plan, execute, and monitor complex initiatives
  • Stakeholder management with the ability to align technical teams and business leaders
  • Experience with Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban) to support iterative delivery
  • Awareness of ethical and regulatory considerations in AI, including data privacy and responsible AI use
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to foster collaboration across technical and non-technical teams

FLEXIBLE WORK ARRANGEMENT:

We support a hybrid approach, which will give everyone the best of both worlds – a mix of home and in-office workdays.  Hybrid schedules will be determined in partnership between individuals, managers, and the team.
